Semi-automatic BCT Machine

Operational Process

1. Test Tube Loading

  • Empty blood collection tubes are loaded into the Test Tube Loader Machine.
  • The tubes are automatically oriented and transferred to the subsequent processing stations.
2. Chemical Coating / Additive Spraying

  • Tubes enter the Chemical Spray Machine where the required additive (EDTA, Heparin, Sodium Citrate, Clot Activator, etc.) is sprayed into the tubes.
  • The machine is equipped with 5 spray nozzles controlled by pinch valves to ensure accurate and uniform chemical dosing.
  • Spray volume and timing can be adjusted through the PLC/HMI.
3. Drying Process

  • After chemical application, the tubes pass through a 3-station drying system.
  • Controlled hot air circulation removes moisture and ensures proper drying of the additive coating inside the tubes.
  • This process guarantees consistent additive distribution and product stability.
4. Rubber Stopper and Cap Assembly

  • Rubber stoppers and plastic caps are assembled together in the Cap & Rubber Combination Machine (Single Head).
  • The machine automatically combines the cap and stopper to create a ready-to-use closure assembly.
5. Vacuum Generation and Cap Pressing

  • The coated and dried tubes are transferred to the Test Tube Vacuum & Cap Pressing Machine.
  • The tubes are placed in a vacuum chamber where the required vacuum level is generated.
  • The pre-assembled rubber stopper and cap are pressed onto the tube while maintaining the vacuum condition.
  • This process ensures the specified vacuum is retained inside the blood collection tube for accurate blood draw volume.
6. Tube Labeling and Printing

  • The vacuum-sealed tubes are transferred to the Test Tube Labeling Machine with Printer.
  • Labels are automatically applied to each tube.
  • Batch details, manufacturing date, expiry date, lot number, barcode, or other variable information are printed and verified during the labeling process.
7. Tray Loading

  • Finished tubes are transferred to the Test Tube Form Tray Loading Machine.
  • The machine automatically arranges and loads the tubes into formed trays in a predefined pattern for easy handling and packaging.
8. Primary Packaging

  • Loaded trays are transferred to the Manual L-Sealer Machine where they are wrapped with shrink film.
  • The film is sealed to create a secure package around the tray.
9. Shrink Wrapping

  • The sealed package passes through the Shrink Tunnel.
  • Controlled heat shrinks the film tightly around the tray, providing a tamper-evident and protective package.
10. Finished Product Collection

  • The shrink-wrapped trays are collected for final inspection, carton packing, storage, and dispatch.
