Cartridge Filling Line Process
Cartridge Washing
- Empty cartridges are loaded onto the infeed conveyor of the washing machine.
- Cartridges are washed internally and externally using purified water/WFI and filtered compressed air.
- Multiple washing cycles remove particles, contaminants, and residues.
- Clean cartridges are automatically transferred to the sterilizing tunnel.
Sterilizing And Depyrogenating Tunnel
- Washed cartridges enter the sterilizing and depyrogenating tunnel through the infeed section.
- Cartridges pass through controlled heating zones at high temperature.
- The process sterilizes the cartridges and removes pyrogens.
- Sterile cartridges are cooled under controlled conditions and transferred to the filling area.
Injectable Liquid Filling & Stoppering
- Sterile cartridges are conveyed to the filling station.
- Injectable liquid is filled into the cartridges using precision filling pumps and nozzles.
- Filling volume is accurately controlled to ensure dosage consistency.
- After filling, plungers/stoppers are inserted and positioned automatically.
- Filled and stoppered cartridges are discharged to the outfeed conveyor for further processing.
Labeling
- Filled cartridges are transferred to the labeling machine.
- Labels are applied accurately on each cartridge body.
- Batch details, manufacturing date, expiry date, and barcode are verified during labeling.
- Labeled cartridges are discharged for inspection and secondary packaging operations
