BCT Packaging Machine
The BCT Packaging Machine is designed to perform the final packaging of finished Blood Collection Tube (BCT) trays or cartons before dispatch. The packaging process protects the products during storage and transportation while ensuring proper identification, secure sealing, and pallet stability.
Operational Process
1. Carton Infeed
- Finished BCT trays are manually or automatically loaded into corrugated cartons.
- Filled cartons are transferred to the packaging conveyor for final packing operations.
- Sensors detect the presence and correct positioning of each carton.
2. L-Sealer Shrink Wrapping
- The carton enters the L-Sealer Shrink Wrapping Machine.
- Shrink film is automatically fed around the carton.
- The L-shaped sealing bar seals and cuts the film to form a complete package.
- The sealed carton is transferred through a shrink tunnel, where controlled hot air shrinks the film tightly around the carton.
- The shrink-wrapped package provides protection against dust, moisture, tampering, and handling damage while improving the product’s appearance.
3. Carton Taping
- The shrink-wrapped carton enters the Automatic Carton Taping Machine.
- Top and bottom carton flaps are automatically sealed using pressure-sensitive adhesive tape.
- Tape application is uniform and consistent, ensuring secure carton closure.
- Tape length and positioning are automatically controlled.
4. Carton Strapping
- The sealed carton is conveyed to the Automatic Strapping Machine.
- A polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET) strap is automatically applied around the carton.
- The strap is tensioned, sealed, and cut automatically.
- Strapping provides additional strength, preventing carton opening or deformation during handling and transportation.
5. Palletizing (Manual or Automatic)
- Packed cartons are arranged on pallets according to the predefined pallet pattern.
- Proper stacking ensures load stability and efficient warehouse utilization.
6.Stretch Wrapping
- The loaded pallet is transferred to the Automatic Stretch Wrapping Machine.
- Stretch film is wrapped around the pallet while the pallet rotates on a turntable or the wrapping arm rotates around the pallet.
- Multiple layers of film are applied to stabilize the entire load.
- The film is automatically cut and secured at the end of the wrapping cycle.
- Stretch wrapping protects the cartons from dust, moisture, shifting, and damage during storage and transportation.
7. Finished Pallet Discharge
- The fully wrapped pallet is discharged from the machine.
- The pallet is ready for warehousing, shipment, or container loading.
